Mary,
Thanks for the fast reply.
My aunt had his birth as being Aug. 28, 1881 in Darlington SC. His death certificate same date, but had his birth place as Florence, SC. He died in Staunton Va Dec 8, 1946 and was buried in Lynchburg Va. His tombstone list the 1881 date. His obit had him as a native of Columbia SC, and a member of a Draper NC Methodist Church.
His military registration has his birth date as Aug 25, 1883. It has his wife Nora as his next of kin. Andrew and Nora were married in Danville VA in 1905.
They were listed in the 1910 Lynchburg Va census along with their 3 children
He was listed in the 1920 Draper NC census as Postum. He was living with his 4 children and his mother-in-law, Bettie Sandage (Sandidge). Nora died in 1918.
I have found several men named Andrew Jackson Poston. One lived earby in VA. His death and burial place are different. The one I found in SC was much older than my grandfather. There is also one in Tenn. It is a different family. I guess the Poston's admired Andy Jackson.

I do appreciate your reply. I wish I had info that might help you also, but this is all I have on the Postons. I have much more on the Sandidges and the Cunningham family.
Betty
