George Poston b.1878 TN, lived in NY and VA, worked on RR
Looking for connections/descendants of this family:
George M. Poston (b. abt 1877 in TN / d. aft 1930) married Anna E. (last name unknown, but parents from Germany) abt. 1907 in NY. In 1910, 1920 and 1930 census, the family is living in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY. Their children: Margaret A. (b. abt 1910), Ethel B. (b. abt 1912), James (b. abt 1915) and George Jr. (b. abt 1916). The boys are missing from the 1930 census ... I don't know if that means they died, moved to live with relatives or what?
Also, George M. used the middle initials "A. R." on his WWI Draft Reg and in the 1930 census, tho the middle initial "M" was used at other times. He was a train engineer, and I found a SSDI record for a George A. Poston, b. 28 mar 1878, d. 12 Feb 1973, issued through the RR, so I believe it may be him.
