Dale, Quite some time ago I sent you what information I had on Samuel Poston and Elizabeth Coleman. You have chosen to never responded to my correspondence so, I just moved on. Therefore, some place you should have this information already. All I can tell you is he was born some time around 1805. If we would all work together and pool our resources, we might find the answers to these brick walls sooner. But ~ we can't do it alone. The data is too scattered.
I thought I had all of the Poston records from the 1800 Census but I am not sure I have the records for Samuel in Marlboro County. What page was he recorded on? I am firmly convinced that they all tie in at some point but cannot get around to do research the way I used to. However, I have found Poston land transactions in South Carolina as early as 1737. So ~ where does that leave the myth that they migrated from Pennsylvania?
