I am afraid you have me at a total disadvantage. I do not have access to Maryland Census except thru Ancestry and they have NO record of a Stony Poston. However, if you are looking for an Anthony Poston from Pennsylvania, it is not likely since that is (by Postons of Maryland standards)an entirely different family. Besides, if that is him ~ WHERE was he in 1790? See, we have to research chronologically. If we can't find him in 1790, then chances are he had already died. That is NOT proof, only a supposition, in lieu of finding him some other place. There is always that "CHANCE" that he might have migrated to some unsettled territory not yet being censused.
You see, research has no guarantees. It is all trial and error until we find a documented fact. As I said before, without documents we have nothing.
If I can help further, let me know.
