What I am not sure of:

Researchers say that this John Poston (1755PA) is the son of John Poston born 1724 in Ulster Ireland and that he married Margaret Baldridge. If you read the first comment-they also list the same John Poston but this time from England! I have traced back alittle and according to records there were 3 sons: robert (b1750), John (b1755PA) and Anthony/Andrew (b1760). I also show 3 daughters: Mary who married david McWhorter, Jeannette and Margaret who married John baldridge. Robert married Sarah Cunningham and died in Iredell, NC. Mary died in Pickens, SC. All the rest of them were in NC, I think. John and Margaret Baldridge Poston died in Chester Co, PA.
I don't have much proof. Obviously, this is not the same John Poston as the other one from England.
If any one wants to discuss my researh-please comment.
I also discovered that from the 1600-early 1800's alot of parents named their first son after their father ,second son after their father-in-law, then brothers. The first daughter was named after mother in law, etc. they used the same names over and over!
If you look at rootsweb, you will see that the poston family is a screwed up mess! Anyway, my Postons came from Ulster, Ireland to PA to NC (Iredell, Buncombe), then to Northeast Georgia.
