I just located more info on Porcher from Findagrave.com Memorial # 81505378
"Julia Porcher Postell is the daughter of:
Sarah Catharine Pelot Gignilliat who was born Jun. 30, 1799, & died Oct. 1, 1873.
Sarah Catherine Pelot Gignilliat is the Daughter of Sarah Catherine Pelot, who was the daughter of Rev. Jean Francois " John Francis" Pelot, and her 1st husband, ( "Senator" James Gignilliat Jr.)
She is named after her mother.
Sarah married Rev. Edward Perry Postell. They had eight children : Charles, Susanna, Elizabeth,
Jane Eliza, Sarah Margaret, Caroline Clifford ,
Julia Porcher and Laura Edwards.
Susanna Postell became the second wife of Dr. Francis Yonge Porcher, her sister, Caroline Clifford Postell, married Gadsden King, Esq. and Laura Postell married
Dr. Eli Geddings.
Julia Porcher Postell died on the 25th of May 1849, her older sister Sarah Margaret Postell died the day before that, May 24, 1849.
The fact that they both died at the same time is significant. Dengue, also know as "Break-bone" fever & Yellow fever both of which are spread by mosquitoes as well as Cholera were pervasive in Savannah at the time. Both of them are buried at Bonaventure cemetery,in Savannah. As is their mother.
