Bela Post, son of Aaron and Elizabeth Post, was born in Vershire, VT, in 1797, and came with his parents to Castile, Wyoming Co., NY in 1813. In 1823 he was married to Miss MELISSA BELDEN, daughter of Simeon and Calcina Belden, of Castile, Wyoming Co., NY, another Vermonter by birth. Mr. and Mrs. Post raised thirteen children, all of whom are still living. Aaron D., born in 1850, and the youngest of the thirteen, is living on the old homestead.
