Hi Lorraine,
Rirhard van Houten has been helping me with this one.We think that Ackerman goofed and combined two Peters, your 1742 Peter and my 1752 Peter. There are no baptismal records for my 1752 Peter, but there was a church which burned with all records lost in the early 1800's which was a likely candidate to have been Peter's family church.
1752 Peter was definitely married to Rachel LaRue (not to be confused with another Peter married to a Rachel living in NJ at about the same time).1742 Peter was the one probably married to Annetje Post.
Richard has confirmed Peter/Annetje's son Garret's baptism against a transcript of the records of the Ackquakanonk church:
Garret's baptism is recorded as #887 in _The Vital Records of the Protestant Dutch Reformed Church at Acquackanonk_:
1767, 2.15; Pieter Van Houten, Annaetje Post; 887; Gerret, b 12.30.1766; Arie Post, Elizabeth Post
Can you upload a copy of your bible page to the van Houten website?I'm curious to see what else is on it. Also, Richard has a study of the Peters posted on that site.
