Vickie, I also am searching for especially the parents of E.S. Poss b.1823, Ga. The Rockingham Va records show Nicholas Poss dying in 1785-86.It seems his kids : Chris marries Susanna Oehler, Henry m.Cath Oehler , Nicholas #2 m. Fanny Wolfe ,Margaret m. Isaiah Curry. Other Oehlers marry Hammons and Tanners and Groan. All go to Wilkes Co Ga.Henry ends up in Walton Co, Christopher in Wilkes Nicolas dies 1819 etc. On C's Rev record ,George b17939 (prob husb of Sally Dunafin)and Cath Agee b.1797are his only survivors in 1855 so who is Elijah Smith Poss' gr parent????? or parent?.Va
