I am searching for more information on my ancestor, Sarah Posey Joyce. I have a copy of her obituary, if anyone wants a copy.
All I know of her birth family was that she was from South Carolina. Her husband came from (I think) a well-to-do family in Montgomery Co., GA. Any help is appreciated.
Here is what I know about her:
SARAH POSEY was born October 08, 1800 in South Carolina, and died 1893 in Red River County, TX. She married HENRY JOYCE 1826, son of HENRY JOYCE and MARTHA STAFFORD. He was born 1792 in Montgomery Co., GA, and died Abt. 1855 in Montgomery Co., GA.
