Hey Connie,
I only have that Humphrey Posey was married once. He married Rebecca Gann in 1868 at the age of 27, so he might have been. I haven't found him in an 1860 census. He's listed in the following census, 1870 census,Subdivision 141, Floyd County, GA, 1880, District 714, Carroll County, GA, 1900 and 1910 Jay Bird, Marshall County, Alabama. I did not find him in the 1920 census. Rebecca passed away in 1916. In the 1910 census it list that Rebecca had 10 children with 5 living, might have included the Slaton children also. I found a death date for this Humphrey Posey but it didn't have a source to back it up, it was 1915.
