Looking for information on the parents of Humphrey Posey born April 1841 death unknown, probably before 1910. He was a private in the Company G 30th Georgia Infantry. He is buried in Trinity Methodist Cemetery, Dekalb County, Alabama beside his wife Rebecca A. Gann. Rebecca A. Gann was born 1836 in Georgia, died 1916 in Alabama. They were married before 1869. Rebecca was married to Gahaza Slaton before she married Humphrey Posey. Children of Humphrey and Rebecca are Martha "Mattie" H., (my great grandmother), Arthur, Dollie and Carrie E. Posey. I have Humphrey and Rebecca's tombstone pictures on the find a grave website. I'm trying to find the parents of Humphrey Posey and I've found another Humphrey Posey that went North but that is not him. I've read up on this Rev. Humphrey Posey and it sounds like he make be related on down the line. I also found a Daniel Posey that married a Morecraft and they had several children but I didn't see a Humphrey Posey listed but the birth dates were close enough to match. The ones that had Daniel and Morecraft had a couple of the Posey's listed as living Posey's and I was wondering if that might have been the Humphrey I'm looking for. Any help would be much appreicated and maybe all of these Posey's tie together. Thanks for any help.
