I, too, have a William Posey in my line. He was my great-grandfather. He married a Henrietta Smith. Their daughter, Ada Arminnie (or~ Minnie Ada {Ida}) married James Thomas Dunnaway. They all lived in the Slocomb/Dothan, AL area beginning sometime around the mid 1800's. Have you come across any of these names in your search. Any information appreciated, will share if possible.
