EMISON listed John POSEY's daughter Mary as having married (with questions marks)Thomas ALLANSON/ALLISON. He was correct that a daughter of John POSEY married an ALLISON, he just listed the wrong ALLISON. He mainly followed the male lines, so it appears he may have thought that Thomas ALLANSON and wife Mary in the 1670s was the same person as his grandson Thomas ALLISON who sold his rights in the tract "St. John" to Francis POSEY in 1722.

The person that married a daughter of John POSEY was Charles ALLISON, son of Thomas ALLANSON and wife Mary ROBERTS, and father of the above Thomas ALLISON that sold his rights in "St. John" in 1722.

Also, the wife of John POSEY was Susanna, last name unknown. EMISON listed her as BELAINE (with question marks). Some people have chosen to drop the question marks, but it is clear from the records she was not a BELAINE.

Research indicates that it is most likely John POSEY's daughter Elizabeth (not Mary) that married Charles ALLISON. See details on all the above at:
