thank you for answering my question, i have several great uncles that fought in the wars, and several relative that fought in the confederate army, i for one am proud of that fact. i have cherokee indian from my dad's side of the family, i was just trying to see if i had any from my mom's side. it's really no big deal if i find it or not. i know it's hard to find, because i had to do reaserch to find it through my dad's family. i found that a lot of indian from georga went to hide in the mountains so they wouldn't have to register on the roles. all because they were ashamed to be indian. i took me over a year to find what i was looking for. whatever i find, i feel proud.
