Hi Dave,

A couple of footnotes.

I spoke with Frances to confirm a few things. Ann Bullimore was most likely Walter's mother as she is the only one listed on the birth certificate. Walter was immediately taken in by Sally, wife of William Portwood who was pregnant at the time with a to be daughter, Beth.

Also, it was a William Gibson who ended up in Western Canada while his brother Frank stayed in the UK to marry a barmaid much to the chagrin of the family.

Can you have a look at Ann Bullimore? It would seem that she is a string that needs pulling. She did emigrate to Canada and was known as "Auntie" to everyone here.
