I'm looking for J.B./Zebulon Portwood.
He married Charlotta
Elizabeth Reece (Lottie) in Georgia.
They had at least two children. Charles James Thomas Portwood and Starr.
J.B./Zebulon was killed in a railroad accident and Lottie remarried a man named Rufus Hicks.
Do any of these names ring a bell?
Any info would be a big help. I have hit a brick wall with my portwood line.

Subject: [MSATTALA] History of Kosciusko and Attala County
The oldest citizen of the county lives in this
section, in the person of Mr. Zebulon Portwood, who
was born in 1803 and is consequently in his 94th year.
When I saw this gentleman last, I was surprised to
see that he with the aid of his stick, could still
walk about his home, and that his mental faculties
were still bright for one of so great as age, and it
was real pleasure to hear him tell of the events of
long ago, and to give his opinion on the issues of the
day.
