I am looking for any information that I can get on the Portwood family. My great grandfather and grandmother are Alva and mildred (carper) portwood. my great grandfather died in 1988 in Canton Il and my great grandmother died in 1992 in canton also. My great grandmothers fathers name is believe to be Earnest Carper. Her mother died during childbirth with my great grandmother. she had twin older brothers and atleast one sister but i know nothing of them. I also know nothing about my great grandfathers family.
please anything anyone can help to get me started is greatly appreciated. I have also been researching the Amerine family name.
