We could be related?

My 2nd GG, Louis P Silva emigrated from Portugal in 1860, married Bridget Delia McCann in 1866, lived in Illinois, and then moved to the Bay Area and lived there till his death in 1906.

Census records show his name as Salvey, Silvie, Silva, and finally Selby - but my mom is confident that the original name was Silva.

I don't know if he was from the Azores. I only have his name and his descendants. Do you know if you're related to a Louis P Silva? I don't know if he had any siblings or if he immigrated with those siblings. I've been searching forever, but still can't find a birth record or a passenger record.

Thanks!
Deborah
