Dear Fellow Researchers,
I am new to the Portugal Genealogy Forum and would appreciate any help locating information about my grandfather, Sebastiao dos Santos Verissimo. He was born about 1885 in the "freguezia de Sao Cosmado, concelho de Armamas". His parents were Jose dos Santos Verissimo and Filomena de Jesus. He married Maria do Ceu Lemos on 25 May 1905. She was the daugher of Joaquim do Nascimento Lemos and Ana de Meneses.
My grandparents emigrated to Manaus, Brazil where my father, Antonio dos Santos Verissimo, was born in 1907 or 1909. My grandmother returned to Portugal when my father was around 2 or 3 years old. My grandfather stayed in Brazil. That is all I know.
Any information is greatly appreciated.
