Santos family from Mesquitella to MA 1907-1910

I am trying to figure out how to find information on Antonio Freitas Santos (b.1871 in the Azores) who came from Mesquitella about the Peninsular (I believe) which arrived at Ellis Island 11/15/1907.

In 1910, his wife Maria Julia Costa Santos (b.1873 in the Azores) and their two children, Arthur Antonio and Julia Amelia (b.1902 & 1904 in the Azores) came to the US but I do not believe it was through Ellis Island; at least I could not find them by searching the website.

They appear in the 1920 Census living in Chelmford, Middlesex, MA.

I know when they were coming to the US it was to join relatives who were already here but I have no idea who those people were. And I do not know how to trace this family any further in the Azores.
