Josephine Alice Porter was b. Jan 1846 in Virginia (now central West VA). She m.William Benton Linger, s/o Joseph and Mercy Hinzman Linger in 1864 in Upshur County, West Virginia. She was living in the home of one of the Linger families while in her teens (probably as a domestic). No record of her birth has been found as far as I know. If anyone has information on this person in your data, I would appreciate hearing from you. She was my great-great grandmother.
