Well, I pretty much agree with you, but the horse is long out of the barn. Anyone with the tools and savvy can find nearly any vital statistic in a short period of time on the internet. You don't have to be a private investigtor but if you are, that opens up an entire different level of snooping capabilities. I suppose the limits that ancestry and genforum have imposed will help to some extent.

I too used get angry about these "name collectors" copying my original research and posting it as if it were theirs but I can't do anything about it so I try to ignore it and consider it flattery.
