I'm still searching for the parents of Jane M. PORTER [a.k.a. Jane Mira PORTER.]b. 1816 in North Carolina: About 1832 in Spartanburg (or Union) County South Carolina she married Stephen WEST b. ca 1790 Maryland d. ca 1852 in South Carolina. Stephen and Jane had nine children, all born in South Carolina between 1832 - 1852. Even though Jane was born in NC she seems to have spent little time there. After her marriage to Stephen she lived in SC and Georgia. Another clue, her parents were born in South Carolina. Any information is greatly appreciated. Will share the information I have on this family. Mary
