He was preceded by his father, Richard Dall Porteous and his mother, Evelyn Marie Cross, by 2 sons, Richard Charles Porteous and Richard Dall Porteous III; survivors include his wife, Sharon Kay Marvin and 1 child; also surviving is a sister, Lorraine Arnold.
