ALLFORD, Elinor age 91 of Waynesville passed away Sun. Aug. 5, 2007 at her residence. Elinor was born July 6, 1916 to Lester George and Helen Popp in West Milton, OH. For over 50 years she was a member of the Waynesville United Methodist Church and the Miami Chapter OES. She was also a member of the Waynesville United Methodist Women, was a Sunday school teacher and worked as a hairdresser for several years, greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling with her husband and children in their earlier years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 2002, her parents, and step mom Leona Popp. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ronnie R. and Bonnie Allford of KY; daughter Connie Arnold Gates of Waynesville; four grandchildren Terri (Glen) Doepel, Scott Arnold, Shawn (Amy) Allford, and Travis (Dini) Allford; and five great grandchildren Grant and Hunt Doepel, Tanner and Alyson Allford, and Noah Allford. Funeral services 1:00 PM Thurs. Aug. 9 at the Waynesville United Methodist Church. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Wed. at the church with a Miami Chapter OES service immediately following. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the Methodist Church or Hospice of Dayton. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stubbsconner.com.
