Carol,
I don't have alot of information on George but i do know that his son George drowned in a creek at a park in either Elgin or Chicago,not sure which and Leon Gottfried Popp married Margaret Langton Crowley(do not know the year) and they had my sister Kathleen Anne Popp however my father Daniel earl Leonard adopted her in 1956 in Elgin,Illinois.
he either died in July1978 or July1979 will have to find the death information records from social security.
I was also told that the mother when her son died went into an insane place than got out had a daughter,Dorris and than went back and got out again and had another daughter,i think i have those names in some records i will check and when i find them post them for you.
i haven't heard from that person yet,but i am hoping.
