Popovich family that would have studied Medicine maybe in the 1920's

I have found that I have or had a Great Grandfather with the last name of Popovich who came to the U.S. to study Medicine roughly in the 1920s. I was told that he also returned to his home in Yugoslavia (at that time).

He was married but I don't think my Great Grandmother knew it. I ask that you harbor no resentment toward me as this affair happened two generations before I was even born. I didn't know my Great Grandmother that well, but I like to think she didn't know he was married.

I would like to know my family. Perhaps there aren't any but I can't rest until I try. They could be living anywhere but I would think that they are somewhere in what is now knowns as Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia etc.
