I have heard that there were Polivicks from Slavonia(Croatia) in the USA in the area of New Orleans. I have met a Popovich here in KY and we thought it strange that if you change 3 letters in our names they would be the same. He is also slavic. My ancestor didn't speak English when he arrived here maybe the spelling is not correct for Polivick. As far as I know my family is the only ones with this name. Lazarus Polivick arrived in New Orleans in 1829. Please email me if this sounds familiar. J. Michelle(Polivick)Adams
