Gus Popejoy is the brother of my grandfather, Hilra L. Popejoy. They lived in the Pahsimaroi Valley, near Challis, Idaho. I live in Challis.
Gus's wife Charlotte was born on 13 January 1920, to John Stone and Hazel Quigley Stone. In 1925, Hazel (her mom) married Thorpe L. (Shorty) Arehart. Charlotte (Lottie) went by Arehart, but she was born a Stone. She had half-sisters, Pansy and Maxine.
They called John by the nick name "Gussie".
