Hi
I saw your postings about George Pope. I am looking for information about George W. Pope who was in Ashe co NC. He is my great great grandfather. His daughter Sarah was my great grandmother. She married William Lambert. George was listed on some of the censuses but he had different wife's names. We were taught that Sarah-I think--was 1/2 Indian. I was also told by my aunt that Sarah had 2 brothers named Jonathon and Jim. They were supposedly in Beaver Creek/Dam. Recently I was researching and came across the death certificate for Jonathon and it listed his mother as Caroline (looked like Jannoly) but I believe it was Johnsey. I also found a death certificate for Jim/James and it listed the mother as Caroline Joncie. This certificate was however from KY. Do you have any knowledge about the information here?
