Ms MImbs: In the third edition of the Pope family history compiled by Roger Alan Crane in 1998 "The Pope Family from Tidewater Shore" the information on Jehu Pope that you are seeking is included. Mr. Crane's information was from a working group on Pope Genealogy, mainly from the area of Tennessee where Jehu Pope settled and are direct decendents of his. The early part of it was tied in with Virginia Pope Livingston's earlier research. Ms. Livingston was a well regarded genealogist who has frequently published in some of the most respected journals. She was originally a Pope herself and lived in the Virginia area of the original Popes in America.I will be glad to give you guidance on how you may get this information if you desire to contact me.
