Thank you for replying. I have much history of Jehu Pope. Most have his lineage wrong. He did not descend from a George Pope. Do not know how that got started. I have Jehu's history in my book, but I keep searching to find other connections. I have much on William Edward Pope's family. I have Jehu'S children as Elizabeth, Lois, William Edward, and Nancy. BUT I believe he had other children since he was born c. 1764. Know he was underage in 1766 from his father's will. William Edward was an heir in the estate dee dof Jesse Baldwin in Roane Co., Do you know anything about that. Who was he? Doesn't stant top reason he didn't have children until he was about 35. I believe Hannah was probably a 2nd wife and other children born c 1785 or about. He was American Revolution 1782 list so he was at least 18 then, and probably married soon after. I have never found a marriage record for him and Hannah. I have she married Laney 1805, not sure about that though. Which family of Jehu or should I say William Edward do you descend? I have William Edeward's children and grand children and other info located on census and Roane Co., Records. Do not know who the girls married. Wanted to see if estate mentioned other children grown. Know it mentions the minors and left to guardian Christopher Hanes. He could be a relative of Hannah but could not find. Any information would be greatfully accepted to complete Jehu's history.
