Here's what I had for what it's worth and note there are a few dates that are questionable: Richard Pope b1590 Bristol England His children: Nathaniel Pope b abt 1611-14 England m. Sampson b aft 1711 m. Susannah Rebeccah m. Sykes Mary m. John Surginer Pilgrim b1739 Children of John Pope b1699 Bertie Pct. NC and Sarah Pope b. 1722 Edgecombe NC m. abt 1739: William b abt 1740 John Jr. b abt 1742 Ann b abt 1743 Charles b abt 1744 Chloe b1755 Halifax co. NC m. John Alford Ann m. Richard Smith That's the best I can come up with. Our line extends from Mourning Pope who married four times from her second husband Joseph Thomas. Their daughter Mary Thomas married William Philips Horn II and had another daughter of the name of Milberry or Milbrey Horn who married Joseph D. Philips and had nine children amoung which was Margaret Thomas Philips who married Josiah Frederick Williams. The line after that is well established and beyond question. Josiah had a son named Henry Philips Williams who married Martha Ann Haskins. Henry and Martha (Nannie is what they called her) had a son named John Frederick and John Frederick had a son Nick Boddie Williams who had a son Nick Boddie Williams Jr. who is my husband. I'm totally muddled by the Pope line and have no idea if I am even close. I don't have several Sampsons, only one. If you are willing to help, I will be very thankful. I have pictures of Josiah Frederick Williams and his wife Margaret Thomas Philips which I'm willing to share, if anyone wants copies. Feel free to copy and paste this message onto a new reply with additions or corrections and either post it in GenForum or e-mail it back to me at: gwill6060@earthlink.net. Thanks. Gerri
