OBIT-Clifford Arthur LeRiche, 88, son of Frank and Alice (Pooler) LeRiche
LOWELL -- Clifford Arthur LeRiche, the beloved husband of Rita D. (Lepore) LeRiche, and a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Palm Manor Nursing Home. He was 88 years old.
Born in Lowell on August 5, 1921, he was one of seven children of the late Frank and Alice (Pooler) LeRiche. Cliff was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Grammar School and Lowell High School. He also attended the Lowell Technical College.
One of four brothers to serve, Cliff enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II. He served at Naval Air Stations and Naval Torpedo Stations stateside along our coastlines. He also saw action in the Hawaiian Islands, the Gilbert Islands and the Marshall Islands. He received the WWII Victory Medal, the American Theatre Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal with 1 Star, and the Good Conduct Medal.
Cliff married Rita D. Lepore on September 23, 1945 at St. Peter's Church in Lowell. Together they raised three wonderful daughters and celebrated 64 years of marriage. Cliff adored his wife Rita and her wonderful Italian cooking.
For over twenty-nine years, Cliff was employed as a salesman with the Gas Company, first with Lowell Gas and later with Colonial Gas.
Cliff held membership at Mt. Pleasant Golf Club for over thirty years and also was a member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks.
He was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church. At Sacred Heart, he worked bingo every week, as well as collected at the early Mass on Sundays.
In addition to his loving wife Rita, Cliff is survived by his three loving daughters, Donna M. LeRiche Sadof and her husband Michael G. of Bedford NH, Deborah A. Krupkoski and her husband Robert of Chelmsford, and Dorothy A. Demis and her husband Nicholas P. of Townsend, his cherished granddaughters, Amanda E. Silvia and her husband Daniel of Everett and Rebecca M. Krupkoski of Chelmsford, a sister-in-law, Natalie LeRiche of Chelmsford, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cliff was the brother of the late Francis, Donald, and Walter LeRiche and Sr. Mary Arcadius C.S.J. (Dorothy LeRiche), Alice LeRiche Greenwood, and Mary Kierstead, also the brother-in-law of the late Nellie and Evelyn LeRiche, Fred Greenwood, and Charles Kierstead.

Mr. LeRiche's Funeral Mass will follow at 10 A.M. at HOLY FAMILY PARISH - STE. MARIE'S CHURCH, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts. Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
