Hello Valerie,
Yes, I have visited the Old Canada Road many times.
I started my genealogy quite a while ago and have made progress. But, it is very important to start from the beginning and make sure that you complete the first three or four generations before taking on the challenge of researching the older generations. It sounds like you have not yet extended your research to Quebec Province yet. There are a number of Franco-American Genealogy Associations in New England that can help there. Good Luck in your research.
