I have seen the Pepin name somewhere. I think I saw it on the website that keeps information on the French Canadian Families in Waterville. That is where I learned that Joseph Poulin, the brother of my great great grandfather, was using an alias, namely: Joseph Pooler. This he did when he enlisted in a Union Army during the Civil War. He gave his residence as Moose River.

That information eventually enabled me to find out more about my genealogy, by searching the Canadian Census of 1881, which is available for free on the website: www.familysearch.net
