I really wanted to jump on that branch and I still think somewhere it might link up but here's more of what I have found:

John POOLER
b. (c) 1838 (Maine, Canada, or Lower Canada)
(Father born Canada; Mother born Canada)

Harriet UNKNOWN
b. (c) 1840, Maine
(Father born Maine; Mother born Maine)

children:
John L.
b. 1862, Maine
Almatia
b. 1864, Maine
Nicola
b. 1866, Wisconsin
Charley (or-Charles Z.)
b. 1874, Wisconsin
Ellenor
b. 1876, Wisconsin

In 1880 the family is in Stanton, NE. My link to John is through John L who married Susan Aubury

I have more of the current data if anyone wants it. My struggle is to go backwards from John.
