Researching my maternal line. Margaret Calhoun was dau. of David T. Poole and Sarah Melvin of San Francisco and the wife of John Poole. She had two sisters Sarah (Sadie) and Victoria Adelaide (Addie). Addie was my grandmother, and she had two children: Laura Frances and David Frederick. The family seems to have changed their name from Beese to Haugens. I'm wondering why they changed their surname. Addie and her husband Lawrence Frederick Haugens are interred at the Chapel of the Chimes in Piedmont as is Laura Frances, but David T. Calhoun was moved in 1985 to an unknown locale at the request of a granddaughter Frances Glover. Can anyone familiar with this family help me with some info? I believe I must have some cousins in the San Francisco Bay Area where I still live. I'm looking for Loretta Ann Ewing b. 7 Apr. 1939 and her dau. Grace Pearl, Leeanna Esther Poole b. 25 Sep. 1940, and Albert John Poole Jr. b. 5th Jul, 1944.
