Looking for any information regarding the family of William D. Oliver and his wife Mary. William D. Oliver is the son of ‘Mr. Oliver’ and Mary, both born in Virginia. William D. Oliver was born sometime in February 1835 in Kentucky; probably in Graves County. ‘Mr. Oliver, William D. Oliver’s father, probably died between 1844 when his last child was born and 1850 when the U.S. Census was taken in Graves Co., Kentucky. On this census Mary is the head of the house-hold with children: William, age 15; Susan, age 12; Emily, age 10, and Cornelia, age 6. All the children were born in Kentucky. Cornelia Oliver is my gg-grandmother. She married John Carr Wilson, son of William and Martha Ann P’Pool (or Pettypool) Wilson. Mrs. Mary ( ? ) Oliver married second Jonathan Pryor, Sr. some time between 1850 and 1860 probably in Graves Co., Kentucky. The 1860 Census for Graves Co., Kentucky shows Mary living with Jonathan Pryor, Sr. with children Mary Oliver, age 18 and Susan Oliver, age 16. The children’s ages do not appear to be correct. Also listed is J. Franklin, age 20, white, farmer, born in Virginia. Just above this house-hold is listed the family of W. Pryor, age 38, who must be related to Jonathan Pryor, Sr., may be a son. Mrs. Mary ( ? ) Oliver Pryor shows up next as living with her daughter, Cornelia J. Oliver Wilson and her son-in-law, John Carr Wilson found on the 1870 Census for Graves County, Kentucky, Dublin Pct with the children, William, age 5 and Clarence age 3. She is also found on the 1880 Census for Graves Co., Kentucky living with the John and Cornelia Wilson house-hold listed a “GranMa”. The information that I have on William D. Oliver is that he married Mary (?) about 1858 probably in Graves County, Kentucky. Mary was born about 1838 in Kentucky. William D. and Mary Oliver had the following children: 1. John R. Oliver, b. abt 1856 2. Ocy D. Oliver, b. aft 1856 3. Frances K. Oliver, b. abt 1858 4. Virginia Oliver, b. abt 1860 5. Harry Oliver, b. abt 1862 6. William Lee "Willie" Oliver, b. abt 1865 7. Ethel Oliver, b. abt 1880 All the children were probably born near Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky. Their son William Lee “Willie” Oliver married Mary Lillius Holmes 25 Jan 1888 probably in Graves Co., Ky, daughter of Henry Clay Holmes and Nancy I. Jones. Children of William Lee “Willie” and Mary Lillius Holmes Oliver are: 1. Allie Mabel Oliver, b. 27 Oct 1888 in Graves Co., Ky., d. 11 Jul 1963 in Graves Co,. Ky., m.
