The Catalog of the Philadelphia Antique Show, 2009, on p. 49 pictures in an ad a fine miniature portrait of James Pool (1774-1861) in the year 1794 by the Philadelphia artist James Peale. Unfortunately, the ad gives no further information about this particular James Pool. This fine portrait should be made known to the Pool family. I am scanning it in case any of his descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Pool family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family, artistic, and historic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a portrait of a Pease gentleman, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
