In 1809 Lieut Henry Pook RN Born 1770 in Kenton, near Dawlish in Devon married Maria Margaret Tyrrell of the Clermount House.They had, inter alia, a son John (1813-1875) who had a son Colonel Henry William Pook (born 1845), a son John and a son Charles. I wonder if this John is your John Francis born 1847 whom you think was from Santon?
