Hello Roy,
No we haven't communicated before; happily you are the first to communicate with me about the Ponton's. My grandmother was Ruth Virginia Ponton, her father was Samuel Alexander, his father was Hiram J, his father was John and his father was Joel. I have not been able to verify Joel's father William or William's father Thomas (just found it on ancestry.com). What part of the line do you fit in and have you been able to go back further than me?
