We know that one branch did migrate from Paris, France. The Catholic Parish in Paris, France this branch came from was St. Germain Parish, and Eustache Charles Ponton, born about 1635 and Marguerite Chartier. Only one migrated to Canada are all decendents of Pierre Ponton, and Marie Gay married 1696 St. Germain Parish Paris, France. They have many decendents in Canada. They migrated to the United States, first through Iroquois and Kankakee Counties in Illinois. I have over 300 in my branches at roots web, which you may reach through my web site http://www.geocities.com/emersos/ my email is sharon@martinton.com
