Hi,
The dates I have for Rebecca Ponton are very general:
b. 1774-1780, d. after 1860. Rebecca Ponton Fortune is listed in the Nelson County VA 1860 Census as being 80 years old, which would make her birth 1779-1780. She is living with her widowed daughter Rebecca F., age 46, who had married a Spencer. Three grandchildren are also there: John Spencer,18, Zachariah Spencer, 12, and Elizabeth Spencer, 10. I have not visited the Fortune Cemetery and was given the information about the burials by another researcher, so I don't know if there are dates on a headstone or not (or even if there is a headstone). I suspect there are not dates there or they would have become known. Hope this helps.
