Indian Captives from Virginia, western Pennsylvania

I am interested in early settlers of Shenandoah Valley of VA or the western part of Pennsylvania who were taken as Indian captives.

I have the list of captives released to Col. Bouquest of Ft Pitt....1764-1765. Some of these were taken during Pontiac's War, but some taken much earlier during French and Indian War.

I am also interested in raids in the area around Woodstock/Edinburg Virginia. I know about the Painter raid.

I have been told some of the PA papers listed names of captives, I wonder where I might find that?

Any information appreciated, or we could just compare notes about this time especially in the Shenandoah/Frederick/Augusta county VA area.

Mary
