John and Elizabeth Pont 1660s Sussex

I am descended from John Pont of Warbleton, East Sussex. John was married to Elizabeth (surname unknown) and they had a son Richard in 1668. Would anyone please have any further details about John (father, mother, birth or marriage date etc)and anything at all about Elizabeth.

In addition does anyone know about the origins of the Pont family eg how long is their history in Sussex, is the family known to have come from elsewhere such as Normandy, Spain or even Italy?
