I am very surprised that Lavant said that they had nothing on Pomroys. A lot of my info came from the town clerk in Lavant. I don't recognize the 2 names you gave me. The town clerk in Lavant told me that Henry was born in Herman, I checked with the town clerk in Herman and she told me that the years I was looking in they did not have because they had had a fire, back when the town clerks office was in the home of the town clerk and they had lost the records that I am looking for. That I would need to check in the archives in Augusta Me. But I just havn't got to it yet. And yes I know where Mt. Hope is. My mother and Grandmother (Nettie Pomroy) are buried in the Tarr family Plot, Nettie married Frank A. Tarr. I was born in Bangor, I live with my daughter in Pa. I am 71 years old. All my work on my genealogy has been done by snail mail or on line. Charles H. Pomroy was my ggrandfather. He was married to Eliza Crocker. If you would like to talk to me without going on line, you can reach me at Take care, I wish you like in finding your ancesters. Betty. By the way did you do any checking with town clerk of Bangor?
