No, but I have a clue that might work: in California there is a beach called Pomponio State Park. Since the name comes from Italy, most of the immigrants docked into New York Harbor and most stayed in New York, very few went west. So, if you can trace who started the Pomponio State Park, you might find a link to the branch you're researching.
