I am a Rollings/Rollins of Cheraw, Chesterfield, and Lancaster counties for the last 200 Years!
There has been a story passed down in my family for well over 100 years.
That we are not Rollings, we are Polson's!
Somewhere back in time, I am guessing early 1800's, A Polsen son was adopted into the Rollings Family. This could have happened in Cheraw or Chesterfield counties of South Carolina!
Great Great grandpa born William Henry Rollings 1866 in Chesterfield county, told his grand children to never forget that we are Polson's and that we came from Ireland!
The problem is they did forget details of who was adopted and when!!
Now I am trying to find who and when!
If anyone had this story in there family tree Please contact me so that I can finally trace my Polson Irish roots!
Thank you for reading my plea for help! Judi Rollings Dalton Easley, SC
